Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and informs you of receiving the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (44495 / GS) on 2/6/1440, which pointed out that the Saudi Food and Drug Authority has adopted a mandatory requirement that the consignments of certain foodstuffs imported from some countries be made accompanied by certificates of conformity and certificates of laboratory tests of certified conformity companies that has posted on its website at www.sfda.gov.sa.

The Authority hopes that food importers will be responsible for the import of foodstuffs imported from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, that should be accompanied by certificates of conformity and laboratory test certificates from the approved conformity companies according to the breakdown shown in the attached lists, and will impose fines on the missions violating.​
